Simon Wilby, a Las Vegas technology entrepreneur and inventor, is preparing to launch Fortune.ml, an artificial intelligence platform designed to let an investor pick a stock market anywhere in the world, ask which shares to buy or sell there, and take the answer to their broker. He expects it to go live later this month.

> "Fortune.ml runs on one engine built around our own large learning model, a custom AI and AGI (artificial general intelligence) system. It does not rely on API keys from brokers or exchanges anywhere in the world; everything is built in-house."
> — Simon Wilby

No outside AI provider is involved in answering the questions users put to the platform, Wilby says. The engine is designed to evaluate market information, spot emerging trends, assess risk and produce forward-looking analysis, and he says it will give traders capabilities that have been difficult to find in one place.

Wilby, whose earlier inventions were consumer products, many of them solar-powered, wants Fortune.ml to become a world-first AI platform for stock market intelligence and prediction. "Fortune.ml is not just another financial website," he said. "We are building a powerful, independent AI intelligence engine with the ambition to transform how people approach global stock market trading."

## AI Stock Predictions Across 119 Global Stock Exchanges

In Wilby's example, an investor in the United States who wants Chinese shares opens the Chinese market on Fortune.ml and asks the AI which stock is the best buy.

The platform aims to cover 119 or more stock exchanges, including the New York Stock Exchange, Nasdaq, the London Stock Exchange, the Tokyo Stock Exchange and the Hong Kong Stock Exchange. Several [AI stock-rating services](https://www.sovereignmagazine.com/article/ai-s-influence-on-stock-market-investments), by comparison, score only US shares, or US and European shares. Fortune.ml's market directory already lists exchanges and trading venues in 77 countries, from the United States, China and Japan to Kenya, Botswana, Mauritius and Nepal, covering equities, derivatives, options and over-the-counter markets. Each market's page shows its currency and which services are available there, from reference data and prices to company financials, regulatory filings and Fortune AI.

Those services are being switched on one market at a time, with prices and charts shown only where the platform is licensed to show them. Wilby says the exchanges offering live predictions at launch depend on finishing market-data integrations and exchange licensing, and will be confirmed before the public launch.

## China, the Great Firewall and PIPL

> "We are fully verified behind the Great Firewall of China with PIPL approval."
> — Simon Wilby

The Great Firewall is the system China uses to control internet access inside the country, and it blocks many foreign websites and apps, including Google's search engine. ChatGPT is not officially available in China, and OpenAI cut off access to its developer tools from mainland China in July 2024.

PIPL is China's Personal Information Protection Law, in force since November 2021. It sets strict rules on how companies collect and use personal information about people in China. A company that sends that information out of the country generally has to pass a security assessment by the [Cyberspace Administration of China](https://www.sovereignmagazine.com/article/china-ai-companion-crackdown-2026), sign the regulator's standard contract, or be certified by an approved body. Wilby says meeting those rules means investors in mainland China can use Fortune.ml alongside users in the rest of the world.

## Testing and Prediction Accuracy

In internal testing, Wilby says, the system has retrieved real share prices for US-listed companies including Apple, Microsoft and Nvidia, connected successfully to streaming market data, passed all 60 controlled failure checks on the component that tracks corporate events, and returned the intended company as the first result in 24 of 27 test searches across international exchanges.

He describes these as engineering results rather than measures of prediction accuracy. The company plans to publish prediction performance once back-testing, forward testing and independent validation are complete, and will show an outlook for a stock only after the model behind it has passed production validation, with the evidence published alongside it.

## Membership for Professional Traders and Family Offices

Fortune.ml is aimed at professional traders, institutional investors, family offices and high-net-worth individuals. Wilby says the company is exploring a premium enterprise membership in which bespoke access for an institution could reach $200,000 a month. Final pricing, eligibility and registration have not been announced, and the service is being designed to work in several languages.

He also plans an invitation-only second tier, Secret Elites, for the wealthiest of those clients and for hedge funds. Its members would get deeper research, more advanced analytics, AI analysis tailored to them and personal service. Wilby says the difference between the tiers is depth, privacy and service, and that Secret Elites does not promise more accurate predictions or guaranteed returns.

## Research Tools, Daily Briefing and Developer API

For any listed company, Fortune.ml is designed to explain in plain language what has changed, the risks and the state of its finances, and users can put their own questions to Fortune AI, compare stocks and keep a watchlist. A daily briefing, Daily Fortune, summarizes the day's developments from a fixed body of evidence and cites a source for each item. Developers can reach the same services through a versioned REST API, with each key limited to the data and features the account is entitled to, and keys run in test mode until billing is set up.

The platform describes itself as a research, analytics and prediction service. It is not a brokerage, custodian, exchange or automated trading system, it does not carry out transactions, and it states that nothing on it is investment advice.
